Joel Quenneville, Blackhawks Head Coach:“Well, we got a couple of days in between here just basically played two hockey games in one night, so get some rest for tomorrow and get excited about coming on Saturday night I think that we haven’t seen that team all year but judging by the way the game went we’re going have to be ready.”
Claude Julien, Bruins Head Coach:“I thought that in overtime we got better we got a little stronger we had some great looks we had some great opportunities we just didn’t bury them and eventually somebody’s going to score a goal here as fatigue sets in but not disappointed in our effort and there’s certain things that you’re going to want to fix for next game, and but you know as far as the game’s concerned it was a hard fought game.”
Jonathan Toews, Blackhawks Centre: (talks about fatigue in overtime)“Well obviously that sort of thing is going set in that’s the reality both teams are just kicking trying to survive and you just every time you go back on the ice you just try and get that feeling that it’s just going to be that one chance that makes the difference and obviously we got a big one with Shawzy (Andrew Shaw) going to the net there but both teams wanted to win that game no one was going to give it up easy so we’re obviously feeling pretty good about it but it’s time to go home and get some rest now.”
Andrew Shaw, Blackhawks centre:“Yeah obviously emotions are high but too exhausted right now to express it I think the guys had a great game and all four lines were going and all sixteen you know Corey (Blackhawks keeper Corey Crawford) stood in there strong for us and we came up with the big win.”
