This would bring in the same number of fans as the other two RPGs, and it would be nice to see since Shepard’s in-universe birthday was a few days ago. Not to mention, this would be a great move as it would technically be three games in one, boosting the quality and quantity that the service provides. There are really a ton of benefits to putting Mass Effect front and center of a giveaway for it and the service.

Multiplayer games are great on free gaming services, as it provides a community boost and a resurgence of interest. Luckily, multiplayer games come in all shapes and forms. Valheim would be a good pick for its approach to open-world survival, as well as multiplayer components. Valheim can be played co-operatively with up to ten people, with options for PvP as well.

In fact, Valheim recently got an update that fixed a ton of bugs and optimized the game in a variety of ways. So, there hasn’t been a better time to step into this Norse world. It’s hard to go wrong with Vikings anyway.

Platform games are a classic that will always have a presence in the industry, while the roguelike genre is more popular than ever. These two genres mesh well together, and few roguelike platforming games have the same critical acclaim as Spelunky 2. This game has an intriguing story, great roguelike and platform elements, and a ton of replayability thanks to the variety of areas and the procedural generation in making them. It’s entirely possible some have overlooked this game, though, making it perfect for a headliner to pair alongside something like Mass Effect or Valheim to provide that sense of quality.
